Here we go again!
It was time to pack up our things in Florida, and start heading north before our BIG trek across the country! We are heading up to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for a week, and then…..CALIFORNIA, HERE WE COME!
On our way, we stopped two nights in Georgia – the first night we stopped at a great place called Carroll’s Country Store – to park our trailer you say??? – YES! The store has a big field next to it, with full hookups for campers of all shapes and sizes! We stopped and spent the night next to the store, and then they “reward” you for staying by giving you a $10 coupon to use in the store! What a good business move – of course, we spent MORE than our $10! 🙂
Then we loaded up this morning and headed a little north of Atlanta to Lake Alatoona to stay for a night – our friends, Kenny and Laura, live here, so they came over to meet us and have dinner with us at the campground – burgers on the grill! The only bad part is that it is HOTTTTTTT – it’s hard to even go outside! Thank goodness for air conditioning!
We will leave tomorrow and then “rest” for a week, before starting our journey! Until then…..
