Well, the time has come – to put the trailer “away” for the winter, until we start thinking about camping again next spring!
We decided to take the trailer to Florida, where we have our condo, and also a storage shed there to store it! But on the way, we stopped in North Carolina to visit friends who have a cabin there – and camped for two days while we were there!
The weather was BEAUTIFUL and the leaves were even prettier! Fall is my favorite time of year, and God’s creation was on full display as we traveled and then visited with our friends in their cabin – it is on a mountain and the drive to get to it was amazing in itself!
We had a great time for the weekend – visiting with friends, enjoying the scenery, going to an apple festival in a neighboring town, eating yummy food, and roasting marshmallows over the fire at their fire pit! IT WAS SUCH A GREAT TIME AND A PERFECT ENDING TO OUR CAMPING SEASON!
Thank you, Bob and Bobbi, for being such amazing and generous hosts – we LOVE your cabin and love being with you even more!
After visiting with them and other friends who also brought their Airstream for the weekend, we headed back on the road to Florida – we made it safely and got the trailer put away and cleaned out for the season.
Leonard and I talked a lot on the way to Florida, and we are most thankful for the safety the Lord has given us over ALL the many miles we traveled with our Airstream this year! We went all the way across the country and back, and did some other short trips, and we had NO major issues at all – the truck did great, the trailer did great, and God protected us every step of the way!!!! WE ARE THANKFUL!
I want to thank you all for coming along with us on our travels and for taking the time to read my descriptions of all that we did – it means so much and I pray that you were blessed and maybe even entertained by my words!

Loved all of your posts! Thank you for sharing your trips, both through your writing and pictures. It was fun going along with you! The beauty of Fall is such a gift from God. Glad you got to experience it (and share it with us!) by driving through the country.
