THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!

BACK TO THE BURGH!!!!

There really is no place like home – and home is Pittsburgh!  We love it here and it was good to be back after leaving at the end of April!  (hard to believe it’s been that long!)

We left Florida a week ago and stopped a few places along the way – Eastpoint, Florida…Glencoe, Alabama…Chattanooga, Tennessee…Gatlinburg, Tennessee… and Wytheville, Virginia – we weren’t QUITE ready to be done using our trailer – we sure do love camping!

All along the way home we have been reminiscing about our summer, and about the amazing places we saw and experienced along the way!  WOW!  We were So blessed to be able to see some more of this beautiful country and look back on the MANY ways God looked out for us, blessed us, protected us and guided us all along the way!  HE IS SO GOOD!

I thought it would just be nice to share a few of the highlights from this summer – and the blessings from God!

*We were blessed to have some great friends join us on the cross-country trip – Bob and Bobbi, thanks for making the journey with us!  We loved getting to know you more and sharing devotions together amongst God’s majesty!

*We were protected as we drove SO many miles through So many different terrains!  We didn’t have any problems as we drove – no accidents, no flat tires, NO TORNADOES OR HAIL!!! WOW – thank you Lord for Your protection!  And we drove in ALL different terrains, elevations, weather conditions, etc.!

*We hiked some great trails, and some VERY HARD trails – especially for us “elderly” people! Haha

It’s hard to even describe the beauty of God’s creation that we saw on each hike – from waterfalls to mountains to valleys and everything in between!  Thank goodness we all had good hiking shoes!  Some of the hikes were really difficult and we were so proud of ourselves for doing them!  ESPECIALLY the HOODOOS in Bryce Canyon!

*We were blessed to see SO much beauty in this country and it seemed like around every corner there was another surprise to see – mountains, snow, windy roads, canyons, trees, waterfalls, valleys, and then animals – buffalo, deer, birds of every kind, bears…wow!

*We spent time with family in friends in Florida after our cross-country trip – enjoying the beauty there too – we love looking out at the Gulf from the condo, watching the storms and the rainbows and the sunsets – oh, and the dolphin, manatees, ducks and birds too!

*And then on our way home, we saw more of God’s creation, and visited with family along the way – what a great trip it was – filled with lots of wonderful memories!  We look forward to our next one…but for now, we will rejoice and be glad to be back home!

Thank you thank you thank you for coming along with us all summer – it really is a joy to share it all with you, and I appreciate each of you who take the time to read this and look at the photos – it means a lot to me!
