Well…I thought that Mount Rushmore was beautiful (and it was!) but Wyoming….WOW!!!!!!!!!!! We are staying at a campground at Colter Bay in Grand Teton National Park – I don’t even have words for the majesty and beauty of the Grand Teton mountains RIGHT BEHIND our trailer – just down a short path to the ‘beach’ with the mountains behind us!!! I can’t do it justice with words, so just enjoy…
Today we took a two hour raft trip down the Snake River and all I can say again is…WOW!!!!! We were with 10 other people, and every one of them was so nice and friendly and fun!! The guide was great and we had a blast! We even saw a moose eating on the bank of the river (SEE IF YOU CAN SPOT HIM – haha)
During the entire trip on the river, the Grand Tetons were on the horizon, so we saw them for two straight hours!!! At some points, the clouds were over them because it was thundering and raining – magnificent! I’m going to TRY another video below so you can see part of the trip!
Here are some highlights of the raft trip, and at the end you can see the group we were with!!!
At the end of the trip, we rewarded ourselves (WE SEEM TO DO THAT A LOT, DON’T WE!) – this time not with ice cream, but with dinner at the Jackson Lake Lodge – the view from the lodge is amazing and the food was yummy! I had a chicken quesadilla and Leonard had a delicious burger!
After a long but wonderful day, we came back to the trailer and took one more look at the beach area and the GRAND Tetons as the sun was getting ready to set! how amazing!

LOVE the Grand Tetons! I went to camp there as a child, and my sister and her husband actually met when they were both working at Jackson Lake Lodge. Isn’t it grand?!?! ; )

Brings back memories. I’ve been there a couple of times, as a child and adult. My dad climbed the Tetons when I was 12. So glad you and Leonard got to be there and experience everything you did.
