After seeing the Olympic Peninsula, we needed to get to Mt. Vernon, Washington…it would have been five hours of driving to get there, BUT! There is a ferry that will take you there, which is a 30 minute ride! So we loaded up our trailers and headed to the ferry terminal in Port Townsend, Washington!
Last year in Canada, we drove our trailers onto a ferry and then Leonard and Bob BACKED them off! This time, the trailers were driven on head first and driven OFF head first! Much easier! There’s something so fun about taking your trailer onto a ferry and going across the water! We were all wishing that this ride was longer like last year – but the most important part is that it saved us FIVE hours of driving!

See the blue 18-wheelers on the ferry? There were FOUR of them on there, in addition to all of the other vehicles and passengers! Crazy!
After everyone disembarked, it was our turn to drive on!
We made it to the “other side” and enjoyed the ride! Just wanted to share it with you!!!
